Revisiting a classic

Bimbo chose us to update and relaunch one of its most iconic brands: Bollycao, which was born in 1975 and revolutionized children’s snacks in the 80s. The goal was to take advantage of the improved recipe, more tender and tasty, to position the brand and bring it closer to today’s young audience without forgetting to connect with all those who were fans of this filled bun in their childhood.

For the branding overhaul we worked in two directions. On the one hand, we updated the graphic brand design, without losing sight of values such as trust and authenticity, which have accompanied consumers for over 48 years, and connects with the territory of enjoyment, and on the other hand, the presentation of the product, which reinforces its appetite and personality on the shelf.
We approached the packaging by building a solid architecture that allows us to differentiate the different products that make up the Bollycao portfolio. The new Bollycao range includes three varieties: cocoa, milk flavor and Dokyo. In addition to the unit format, this work includes the design of the Mini format and the 4 unit bag.
In addition, we worked together with Grupo Bimbo to improve materials and qualities to achieve a better user experience both on the shelf and at home.
