Flow a tope!
In order to revitalize the Tigretón brand, Bimbo challenged us to redesign its branding and packaging. They wanted to reconnect with their most loyal public and conquer the new generations. So it was clear to us that we had to work on the new identity of their range of pastries on three axes: modernize its visual appearance, build a current personality for the main characters and give it a more natural look.
Bimbo launched its Tigretón cupcake in the 1970s with great success, becoming an icon of snacks for an entire generation, along with Bony and Pantera Rosa. Since then, its design has undergone changes that had disconnected it from its original target and diluted its presence on the shelves.
After our redesign, Tigretón moves to the rhythm of reggeaton, inspired by one of the most brilliant stars of the music world, Bad Bunny. Spanglish verses, rhythms and phrases are now part of Tigretón’s story. With our update, Bimbo has managed to increase its pastry sales by double digits in one year, once again standing out on the shelves thanks to this redesign.
