Sweet tromp l’oeil

Dabiz Muñoz reinvented the recipe for the traditional Spanish Easter sweet, torrijas, and needed to develop a concept that would easily explain the content and its uniqueness. Through a trompe l’oeil, the design communicates in a simple way the three elements included in the packaging: the torrija and the two sauces.

The use of minimalist and conceptual shapes serves to communicate that inside there are two toasts and two different sauces, one lemon and one chocolate. This concept arises with the idea of communicating in an easy way a product that you have to finish and prepare yourself to your liking. The packaging is printed with direct inks on natural kraft with the aim of seeking that contrast of minimalist shapes with the warmth and naturalness that kraft offers.
